2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
Alice Block, Rutherford, Napa Valley
Cassis, Black Fruits, Graphite, and Cocoa Powder
The 2018 vintage of the Alice Block has produced a Cabernet that is very Bordeaux like. It does have the typical expression of Rutherford, but more in a Rutherford meets Bordeaux way. On the nose, there is a ton of wild berry fruits with floral notes of lavender and violet as well as crème brûlée, allspice and pepper. On the palate, cassis, black fruits, graphite, and chocolate give our 2018 Cabernet a rich, deep complexity. The tannins finish with a cocoa powder and mineral texture, ending in a lengthy finish. It is approachable now but will age for years to come.
2020 Petite Sirah
Silver Dollar Vineyard, Napa Valley
Blackberry, Black Cherry, and Spice
The 2020 Napa Valley Silver Dollar Vineyard Petite Sirah is deep and intense, yet extremely well-balanced and approachable. It is powerful and inky in its youth and will become more refined with age. The nose has complex aromas of blackberry, leather and chocolate that flows into a palate that is blackberry dominant along with black cherry, graphite, cocoa, tar and spice and full tannins on the long, seemingly endless finish. Stored properly, this wine will age for a long time!
Wheelhouse Vineyard, Suisun Valley
Rich Layers of Black Fruits, Cocoa, and Graphite
The 2021 Charbono has aromas of black fruits, cocoa, and currants and graphite. On the Palate, it starts off super bright, but with a little time in your glass, quickly becomes a dark and full-bodied wine with rich layers of dark fruits, cocoa, graphite, and a natural acidity that ends in a long finish with super fine tannins. It is a mouthful of wine without the big tannins, is beautifully balanced, and can be paired with a wide variety of food.
Moon Vineyard, Napa Valley
Blueberry, Blackberry, hints of Cardamom, Anise and other Exotic Spices.
The Moon Vineyard lies in the southern part of the Napa Valley. Until recently, this fruit was purchased by one of the iconic names in Napa Merlot. We were able to pry some of this fruit from Jim Moon to make our inaugural Merlot. This is a big Merlot with elegant tannins that provide structure and will help this wine age gracefully.
2020 Valdiguié Old Vine Rosé
Rodriguez Vineyard, Suisun Valley
Berries, Stone Fruit, Watermelon
Our Rosé comes from the Rodriguez vineyard and its over 55-year-old vines. Valdiguié produces dark colored wines that are low in alcohol. In our second vintage from this great vineyard, we did 40% whole cluster fermentation, which added character, layers and structure to the wine.
